If your deals have failed due to outdated API keys not being updated before the deadline (December 16, 2024, 12:00 UTC), don’t worry! You can recreate those deals using 3Commas features like the "Smarttrade Convert" option. This article explains the issue and provides step-by-step guidance to help you resolve it.


📄 What Happened?

To ensure smooth operations and improve functionality, 3Commas added additional IP addresses to our crypto trading software in October 2024. Users with manually connected API keys were required to update their API keys and whitelist the new IP addresses before the deadline.

We sent several email notifications to inform users about this important change:

  • October 16, 2024

  • October 31, 2024

  • December 11, 2024

These emails outlined the need to update API keys to prevent interruptions. While we understand the inconvenience caused, it’s important to note that timely updates were essential to avoid failed deals. If you missed these communications, this guide will help you recover your trades.


🚧 How to Resolve the Issue

Follow these steps to resolve failed deals caused by outdated API keys:

  1. Update Your API Keys on the Exchange

  3. Multiple Failed Deals or Bots

    If you’re dealing with multiple failed deals or issues with Signal bots and Grid bots:

    1. Provide your Exchange Account ID:

      • Go to the Portfolio page in 3Commas.

      • Click the three-dot menu next to your exchange account.

      • Copy the Account ID from the browser address bar.

    2. Indicate which bots are affected:

      • DCA Bots

      • Grid Bots

      • Signal Bots

      • SmartTrades

    3. Contact Support:

      • Open a live chat via the 3Commas website.

      • Share the details above for faster assistance.
