SmartTrade Presets with Webhooks

Easily open and close SmartTrades using webhook signals!

Updated this week

SmartTrade now allows traders to save trade settings as presets and trigger them using webhook signals. These webhooks can open trades based on presets or close them at market price when conditions are met. Let’s dive into the details!

Key Notes

  • Webhook Functionality: The webhook triggers the preset to open or close a trade but does not carry settings information.

  • Preset Availability: Presets are available for Smart Trade (Smart Long) and Smart Cover (Smart Short). You can also enable the "Use Existing Assets" option when creating presets to manage trades using coins you already hold.

How to Use SmartTrade Presets with Webhooks

1. Open the SmartTrade Page

  • Navigate to the SmartTrade page.

  • Select your Exchange, Market, and Trading Pair.

2. Configure Settings and Save the Preset

  • Set up the necessary parameters for your trade.

  • Click Save Preset to store your configuration.

3. Name and Review the Preset

  • Assign a name to your preset.

  • Double-check all settings, then click Save Preset to confirm.

4. Open the Presets Tab

Go to the Presets tab to view, edit, or delete your saved presets.

5. Generate a Webhook URL

  • Click the double-square button next to a preset to open the webhook menu.

  • Copy the webhook URL to create or close trades using the preset.

6. Using Webhooks

  • Webhooks allow you to open or close trades via TradingView alerts.

  • The webhook URL format looks like this:

7. Create Alerts on TradingView

  • Set up an alert with your desired trigger condition in TradingView.

  • Enable the Webhook URL option and paste the copied webhook URL.

  • You can add multiple webhooks by separating tokens with a comma "," (no spaces).

Example of a combined webhook URL:

https://app.3commas.io/smart_trades/tv/webhooks?tokens=ea85d1038cbd8b85b7bb123db6afdsf84c614567494a23f98b8e83895d157af28bbab2,3d781f4246500be3c5a5a5424e80c8da24jkhg5b864a62ca342a14d0009ed54e66fe.

In this case, the first webhook will trigger first, followed by the others in sequence.

Congratulations! 🎉

Now, whenever the TradingView alert conditions are met, the webhook will trigger the preset to:

  1. Open a new trade using the preset.

  2. Close the trade at market price if specified.
