Editing a bot

Important notes!

This modal window above appears if you click the Edit button on the Spot Grid bot.

If you edit the Futures bot, you will be able to adjust only minor settings that do not require orders to be canceled. If you want to edit on Futures bot other major settings like Investment amount, you will need to Close the bot first and then restart it by Copying it - in this case new bot will be created with new settings.

You can edit the settings of your bot if necessary. To do this, you need to expand the bot's card and click on the button with three dots. In the opened menu, you will find the "Edit" button.

If you change the settings of your bot, the profitability statistics of the bot will be reset, so if you want to keep the statistics, it is better to close and restart the bot. If you choose the second option, you will see this window:

Please note that modifying certain bot settings may require adjustments to its existing orders, resulting in the cancellation of those orders and the placement of new ones.

Adding funds

This feature is available only for the Spot Grid bots.

On Spot exchanges, you can add funds to the bot by clicking the Add funds button in the table or bot card.

The bot will perform additional rebalancing to distribute the new investment across all lines evenly.

Closing a bot

You can close your bot at any time. To do this, you need to expand the bot's card and click on the three-dot button. In the opened menu, you will find the "Close bot" button.

On Spot exchanges, you need to choose the final action of the bot before closing:

  1. Sell base currency - cancel orders and convert all bot funds to quote currency;

  2. Buy base currency - cancel orders and convert all bot funds to base currency;

  3. Keep both currencies - cancel orders and leave base and quote currency on the balance unchanged.

On Futures exchanges, it will offer the following options:

  1. Close the position - cancel orders and close the opened position.

  2. Leave an open position - cancel orders and leave the position open. In this case, you will need to handle this position manually, as it will no longer be related to 3Commas.

Restarting a bot

After closing the bot (if you chose to save statistics), you can start a new instance of it. In this case, you will not be able to start the same bot, but you can Copy and create a bot with the exact same settings. To do so, switch the table filter to "Closed" in the bot's table and click the "Copy" button.

After clicking the "Copy" button, the bot's settings editing form will open, allowing you to make any necessary changes before launching the copy of the bot.

Copy and share

To share your bot's settings with your friends, you can create a copy link. This link also works as a referral link! To do this, you need to expand the bot's card and click on the button with three dots. In the menu that appears, you will find the "Share" button.

By clicking the link, you'll be taken to a form to launch an exact copy of the bot. This means that you can not only share your settings, but also use the link to start a copy of your bot on your exchange.
