Grid Bot: Bot Management
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Editing a Grid Bot

  • If you edit a Spot Grid bot, a confirmation window will appear before applying changes.

  • If you edit a Futures Grid bot, only minor settings can be adjusted without canceling orders.

  • To modify major settings on a Futures bot (such as investment amount), you must close the bot first, then copy and restart it with the new settings.

How to Edit a Bot:

  1. Click the three-dot button ().

  2. Select "Edit" from the menu.

⚠️ Changing certain settings will reset the bot’s profitability statistics. If you want to keep historical performance data, close and restart the bot instead.

Note

This Automatic Balancing pop-up appears when creating a new bot. It ensures that your base and quote currency balances are adjusted before the bot starts trading. Balance adjustment orders are not included in PnL calculations but can be reviewed in the bot's logs and order page.

Adding Funds (Spot Grid Bots Only)

  • Available for Spot exchanges only.

  • Click "Add Funds" on the bot card or table.

  • The bot will rebalance the new investment across all grid levels.

Closing a Grid Bot

You can close your bot at any time by:

  1. Clicking the three-dot button (⋮).

  2. Selecting "Close Bot" from the menu.

Actions Upon Closing

Spot Grid Bots:

  • Sell Base Currency – Convert all bot funds to the quote currency.

  • Buy Base Currency – Convert all bot funds to the base currency.

  • Keep Both Currencies – Cancel orders but keep balances unchanged.

Futures Grid Bots:

  • Close the Position – Cancel all orders and close the open position.

  • Leave Open Position – Cancel orders but leave the position open. ⚠️ This position will need to be managed manually, as it will no longer be linked to 3Commas.

Restarting a Grid Bot

  • After closing a bot (if you chose to save statistics), you can copy and restart it.

  • To do this:

    1. Go to the "Closed" bots filter.

    2. Click the "Copy" button.

    3. Adjust settings (if needed) before launching the new instance.

Copy and Share Your Bot

Want to share your bot’s settings? You can generate a copy link, which also works as a referral link!

How to Share:

  1. Click the three-dot button (⋮).

  2. Select "Share" from the menu.

How It Works:

  • Clicking the link will open a form to launch an exact copy of the bot.

  • If a new user signs up and creates a bot using your link, it counts as a referral! 🚀
