What Is the AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is a smart trading companion powered by Gemini Flash 2.5, designed to help you create and backtest trading strategies through chat. It’s available on the current Free, Starter, Pro, and Expert plans (including active trials). Free plan access is limited. All paid plans share the same 30-day usage limit. It is not available on Legacy plans.

What You Can Do with It
The AI Assistant helps you:
Build trading strategies by simply describing them in your own words
Configure and backtest DCA bot setups directly from chat
Understand 3Commas tools and features instantly
Simplify onboarding without navigating complex forms
Launch bots faster and with more confidence
It can also answer product-related questions, making it easier for new users to learn 3Commas features quickly and confidently.
Right now, the AI Assistant only creates and backtests DCA bot strategies. It cannot create SmartTrades, Grid bots, Signal bots, or perform any other trading actions outside DCA bots.
The AI Assistant also has access to 3Commas Help Center articles, so it can answer many questions that are not directly related to DCA bots, such as general platform usage, features, or troubleshooting topics.
The AI Assistant is different from the FIN support chatbot. FIN is focused on support and FAQs, while the AI Assistant is focused on creating and backtesting trading strategies in the 3Commas interface.
How It Works
Ask your question or describe a strategy
You can ask the AI how to create a bot with the settings you want, for example: “Create a DCA bot for BTC/USDT using RSI on the 4h chart with four averaging orders.”
AI responds with a Strategy Card or asks for more info:

Hover your mouse over the Config </> label on the Strategy Card to see all bot settings.Backtest and review results
Click Backtest on the Strategy Card to run a quick backtest and view metrics like PnL, drawdown, and win rate.Run the strategy
If you are happy with the setup, click Run strategy to copy the bot settings and activate the bot from that Strategy Card.
Managing Your Chats
The AI Assistant can’t manage your existing bots. It focuses on helping you create and understand new strategies using historical data.
At the top of your AI Assistant window, you’ll find two quick action buttons:
🕒 History – Tap the clock icon to view your recent chats.
➕ New Chat – Tap the plus icon to start a brand-new conversation with the assistant.
You can start as many different strategy ideas as you like in separate chats. Each chat keeps its own strategy cards and backtest results so you can come back and review them later.
Availability and Limits
Platforms: Available on Web, Android, and iOS
Plans: Available on Free (limited), Starter, Pro, and Expert (current plans only)
Legacy Plans: Not supported
Languages: Supports all currently available 3Commas interface languages
Usage Limit: Limits reset every 30 days. Depending on usage, Free plan users may get around 10–15 messages and 1–2 backtests per reset period.
Upgrading your plan does not reset your AI usage limit.
All paid plans share the same limit (up to 1 million tokens per 30-day period).
If you reach your 30-day usage limit, you’ll see a message letting you know when it resets.

The AI Assistant does not provide financial advice or guarantee trading results.
It has access to limited account data (balance and time).
Some strategies may trigger exchange-related errors when run; improvements are planned in future updates.
Common Questions
Is it available on my plan?
Yes, if you’re on the current Free, Starter, Pro, or Expert plan. Free plan access is limited. The AI Assistant is not included in Legacy plans.
Does it cost extra?
No. It’s included in your current plan. Free plan access is limited, and all paid plans share the same 30-day usage limit.
Can I try it during my free trial?
Yes. During an active Starter, Pro, or Expert trial, you can use the AI Assistant. All paid plans (including trials) share the same 30-day usage limit. Free plan access is limited.
Does it work in my language?
Yes. The assistant replies in the same language your 3Commas account uses.
Can it create SmartTrades, Grid bots or Signal bots?
No. The AI Assistant only works with DCA bot strategies. If you want to create a SmartTrade or a Grid bot, you still need to set it up yourself in the SmartTrade or Grid Bot sections of the 3Commas software.
Is this the same as the FIN AI bot in support chat?
No. FIN is a support chatbot that helps you with help articles and account or billing questions. The AI Assistant lives inside the trading interface and is designed to help you build, backtest, and launch DCA bot strategies.
Do my limits reset or increase if I upgrade my plan?
No. Upgrading does not reset your AI usage limit, and all paid plans share the same 30-day usage limit (1 million tokens). Your usage resets after 30 days.
