📢 Important update for users in the EEA region regarding 3Commas access and services.

In compliance with the MiCA Regulation 2025, 3Commas is required to introduce new restrictions for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). These changes impact access to certain features, including mobile app availability, subscription renewals, and exchange connections for EEA-based users.

  • Affected Regions:

    • EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

    • EFTA States (EEA Members): Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway.

  • Estonia remains a restricted location for 3Commas at this time. We are actively working on a solution and hope to provide access to affected users soon. Stay tuned for updates.

  • To avoid potential disruptions to your service, please ensure your Billing Country is correctly set on the Billing Address page.

  • Due to regulatory reasons, some 3Commas features may be unavailable across all regions. This includes, but is not limited to, the Affiliate and Referral Programs, Marketplace, and subscription payments using cryptocurrency.

  • If you are unable to update your country details, please contact support for assistance.


What’s Changing?

🚫 For EEA Users:

  • The 3Commas mobile app will no longer be available for download or updates in EEA-based app stores.

  • Existing subscriptions will remain active until their expiration date.

  • Free plan users will not be able to connect exchanges to prevent trial activation.

  • All new users from the EEA will be required to complete KYC verification during account registration.

  • Existing users will receive a notification to complete a KYC check in their 3Commas Web Interface starting during April when their subscription expires

  • Users won’t be able to renew subscriptions via the mobile app after their current plan expires.

  • The mobile app will continue to function normally for paid users until their subscription expires.

✅ What You Can Still Do:

  • Use the web version of 3Commas via your mobile or desktop browser.

  • Monitor and manage trades for the duration of your active subscription.

  • Receive updates on upcoming solutions for EEA-based users.

  • Monitor your 3Commas account regularly using the Web interface to see when you are invited to perform a KYC check


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why is 3Commas making these changes?

These changes comply with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which enforces stricter policies on crypto-related services within the European Economic Area (EEA).

2. Can I still use my existing 3Commas mobile app?

Yes, but only if you have an active subscription. The app will continue to function until your plan expires. However, updates and renewals will no longer be available in the EEA.

3. What happens when my subscription expires?

Once your current subscription expires, you will not be able to renew it through the mobile app. Instead, you must use the 3Commas web version to continue trading.

4. What if I am on the Free plan?

Free plan users will not be able to connect exchanges after this update. To continue using 3Commas, you will need to subscribe to a paid plan via the web version.

5. Can I still trade using 3Commas?

Yes! You can continue using 3Commas through the web version on your mobile or desktop browser. Your bots, SmartTrades, and other trading features will remain accessible.

6. Is 3Commas working on a solution?

Yes, 3Commas is actively working on regulatory-compliant solutions and willl announce it when available.

7. How will I be notified about future updates?

We will send email notifications, push alerts, and update this Help Center article as soon as a solution is available. Stay tuned for further announcements.

8. I’m not in the EEA! How do I update my Billing address?

If your account has been incorrectly flagged as being located in the EEA, update your billing address:

  1. Logging in to your account.

  2. Navigating to the Subscriptions section, Billing details tab.

  3. Update your Residence information.

9. Do new users from the EEA need to complete KYC?

Yes. All new users registering from the European Economic Area (EEA) must complete KYC verification to comply with MiCA regulations.
