Not all plan features apply equally to real and demo accounts. Free plan users can only trade using a demo account and cannot execute real trades or access advanced tools like Signal bots or backtesting.

Anyone can create a free 3Commas account with just an email address. After signing up, you’ll be offered a 14-day free trial of either the Starter, Pro or Expert plan by entering valid payment details. If you skip this, you’ll be placed on the Free plan, which only allows demo trading. Read the following article for more info:
Free Plan
The Free plan supports only demo trading (also known as “paper trading”) for SmartTrades, DCA bots, and Grid bots.
Real trading is not available.
Signal bots, Backtesting, and Developer API access are not available even in Demo account.
You can connect up to 2 exchange accounts for portfolio tracking only.

Futures trading is not available on the Free plan.
Demo DCA and Grid bots on the Free plan are automatically deactivated after 14 days.
Real and Demo account limits are counted separately. For example, if you have a Pro plan and 20 running DCA bots on a real account, you can also run 20 on a Demo account.

On the Free plan, you can connect up to 2 real exchange accounts total, for portfolio tracking only. Sub-accounts are not supported.
For Binance, all account types (Spot, Margin, USDT-M Futures, and COIN-M Futures) count as one exchange connection toward your total active trading account. This also applies to other exchanges that support multiple account types.
Binance sub-accounts (Spot and Futures) are available only on Expert and higher plans via manual API.
Bybit sub-accounts can be connected on any paid plan.

Custom plan
There is also another type of subscription called the Custom plan.
This type of plan helps our users meet their requirements for the amount of tools they use. If you need more than 1000 Active Signal, DCA or Grid bots or more than 5000 backtests, you can apply to have a Custom plan. Simply click on the Contact us button and fill out the form:
Our managers will review the application and contact you with a decision.
Important note!
The Custom plan can only be paid with a bank card (ApplePay, GPay, PayPal, or card credentials)!
Subscription Duration
Free subscription is unlimited and allows demo trading only. Trading with real funds is not supported.
You can subscribe to Starter, Pro and Expert plans for one month or one year.
Subscriptions are set to auto-renew (recurring payment) if paid by Apple/Google Pay, PayPal or credit/debit card. This auto-renewal can be disabled at any time under the Subscription history section on the Subscription page in your 3Commas personal account.
If the subscription is paid in cryptocurrency, this payment will not be automatically renewed.
3Commas API Access
Let your imagination run wild and tie your own apps to 3Commas that can extend the software's capabilities. The same restrictions that apply to rate plans will also apply to apps connected through the API.
