Notifications: Where to Find Them and How to Set Them Up

Learn how to enable and customize different types of 3Commas notifications — including website, email, mobile, and Telegram alerts.

Updated this week

Where to Manage Notification Settings

You can find and manage all notification settings in your Settings page in 3Commas.

There are four types of notification channels available:

Website Notifications

  1. Click the toggle to enable browser-based alerts.

  2. Your browser will ask for permission to display notifications — make sure to allow them.

Email Notifications

  • Sent to the email address used to register your 3Commas account.

  • If you signed up via Apple ID or Facebook, notifications will be sent to the linked email address from that service.

Mobile App Notifications

  • Enable push notifications in the 3Commas mobile app to receive real-time alerts on your device.

  • Make sure notification permissions are allowed in your device’s settings.

Telegram Notifications

Highly recommended — Telegram is the most flexible and powerful way to receive real-time updates.

To set it up:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Click Activate Telegram bot

  3. You’ll be redirected to Telegram — press Start Bot to connect

Once connected, you’ll begin receiving instant alerts from your 3Commas account.

Customizing Notification Types

You can select which events trigger notifications per tool or feature.

  1. Return to the Notifications section in your 3Commas settings

  2. Click on a specific tool (e.g., DCA Bots, SmartTrades, etc.)

  3. Use the checkboxes to enable or disable individual notification types

Notes

  • Some notification types are not supported by certain channels. If a type isn’t available for a selected channel, no checkbox will appear.

  • Paper trading accounts support the same notification options as real accounts

Security Alerts: “External Trades”

Protect your account by monitoring trades that occur outside 3Commas.

3Commas includes a Telegram-only security alert for external trades — any trading activity that happens outside the 3Commas interface (e.g., directly on the exchange via API).

Requirements:

  • An active Telegram connection

  • A connected Binance account

  • A Pro plan or higher subscription

How to enable:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Scroll to the Security section

  3. Enable External trades alert

  4. If Telegram isn’t yet connected, you’ll be prompted to activate it

This helps you stay informed of account activity that didn’t originate from 3Commas.

The alert appears in Telegram like this:
