What is the Opened Orders and Positions Tool?
The Opened Orders and Positions tool allows you to view your open trades and account assets on both Spot and Futures exchanges linked to 3Commas. Here's what you can see:
Spot Exchange: View Open Orders and Account Assets.
Futures Exchange: View Open Orders, Open Positions, and Account Assets.
This tool is particularly useful for:
Checking the status of partially filled orders.
Verifying that orders are placed correctly.
Managing trades created through 3Commas tools (SmartTrade, Signal bots, DCA bots, or Grid bots) or even outside of 3Commas (directly on the exchange's web or mobile app).
What’s Displayed?
Limit Orders: Includes Add Funds orders, Safety orders, Stop Loss orders, and Take Profit orders.
Open Positions: Displays active trades on Futures, including orphaned positions (those not linked to 3Commas).
Where to Find the Opened Orders and Positions Widget
Navigate to the SmartTrade Page:
Select the desired exchange account at the top of the page.
Scroll Down:
Below the chart and trade creation section, locate the Opened Orders and Positions widget.
Expand the widget to view details.
What You'll See:
Spot Account: Displays only open orders.
Futures Account: Includes two tabs:
Open Orders: View pending orders.
Open Positions: Manage active trades.
You can also use the Search box to filter by asset name, order ID, trade ID, or deal ID.
Open Orders Tab
Here’s how open orders are displayed:
Identifies the tool used to open the order: SmartTrade, DCA bot, or Grid bot.
Provides details about each order, such as asset name and status.
Open Positions Tab
When viewing open positions:
Unlinked Positions: If you cancel a SmartTrade or bot deal or open a position directly on the exchange, the position remains open but is marked as "Not linked to 3Commas".
Options:Close the Position: Click Close at Market Price to liquidate the position.
Convert to SmartTrade: Click Convert to SmartTrade to add Take Profit or Stop Loss settings, or to monitor unrealized profit and loss (uPNL).
After clicking, you’ll be redirected to configure the SmartTrade settings.
Important
Regularly check that the number of positions in the widget matches your active trades to avoid unmonitored or orphaned positions.
Account Assets Tab
This tab shows an overview of your Spot or Futures account assets, helping you track your portfolio.
What’s Displayed:
Share: Volume ratio of each asset in your portfolio.
Amount: Total quantity of the asset.
Total, $: Asset value in USD.
Price, $: Current price per coin or contract (updated on refresh).
Change 24h, $: Asset value change over the last 24 hours.
Tips for Effective Use
Manage Open Positions Proactively:
Always check for positions marked as "Not linked to 3Commas" to avoid unmonitored trades.
Use the Convert to SmartTrade feature to regain control over orphaned positions.
Filter for Clarity:
Use the search function to quickly locate specific orders or positions, especially if you have multiple trades running.
Monitor Account Assets:
Regularly review your portfolio’s composition and performance in the Account Assets tab.
By leveraging the Opened Orders and Positions tool, you can efficiently monitor and manage your trades and assets across linked exchanges without the need to log into the exchange directly.
