Why Enable 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is the best way to add an extra layer of security to your account. Once enabled, you’ll need to verify your identity when logging in or changing security settings.
We highly recommend setting up 2FA for all accounts!
Recommended 2FA Apps
1. Google Authenticator (Default Option)
No online backup—store your secret codes safely to prevent losing access.
If your device is lost or reset, you’ll lose all stored 2FA codes unless backed up manually.
2. Authy (Recommended)
Offers cloud backups linked to your phone number.
Allows easy restoration if your device is lost or stolen.
Can be used on multiple devices.
We recommend using a mobile device, but you can also find 2FA apps for PC.

Changing Your 2FA App or Phone
If you’re switching to a new phone or want to use a different 2FA app (like moving from Google Authenticator to Authy), follow these steps to avoid losing access to your account:
Disable 2FA on your account
Log in to your 3Commas account and go to Account Settings.
Slide the 2FA toggle to disable it
Enter the 6-digit code from your current 2FA device when prompted
Re-enable 2FA using your new device (same steps as above)
After disabling, click the toggle again to enable 2FA
Scan the new QR code using your new authenticator app
Complete the setup by entering the new 6-digit code
Note:
This method ensures your exchange API keys and connected accounts remain untouched.
Reset 2FA: Use this only when you have lost your 2FA device or app!
