Important:
BitMEX Fast Connect is not supported. You need to create API keys manually in your BitMEX account.
One BitMEX API key pair can be used for both BitMEX Spot and BitMEX Futures.
No passphrase or account ID is required when connecting BitMEX to 3Commas.
The Order permission is required.
Do not enable Withdraw permission.
Use API keys only to connect BitMEX to 3Commas. Do not reuse the same API keys with other services.
1. Log in to BitMEX
Go to BitMEX and log in to your account.
If you do not have a BitMEX account yet, create one first and complete any required account setup steps.
2. Open API Keys
Click your profile menu in the top-right corner.
Then click API Keys.
3. Create a new API key
Enter a clear name for the API key, for example: 3Commas
A clear name helps you recognize the key later if you create several API keys.
4. Select API permissions
Enable the Order permission.
Do not enable Withdraw permission.
Leave other settings unchanged.
5. Create API Key
6. Save your API Key and API Secret
After the key is created, BitMEX will show your API Key and API Secret.
Copy and save them in a safe place.
You will need both values to connect BitMEX to 3Commas.
7. Connect BitMEX to 3Commas
Open 3Commas and go to My Portfolio.
Click Connect exchange or Connect a new account.
Choose the BitMEX account type you want to connect:
BitMEX Spot
BitMEX Futures
Enter your BitMEX API Key and API Secret. No passphrase or account ID is required.
Click Connect.
If you want to connect both BitMEX Spot and BitMEX Futures, you can use the same BitMEX API Key and API Secret for both connections.
