Important updates for users in EU regarding 3Commas services.

What is happening? Why are these changes happening?

As part of our commitment to regulatory compliance and transparency, 3Commas will implement changes to align with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). These changes aim to enhance consumer protection, prevent market abuse, and ensure transparency for crypto-asset service providers across the European Union.

Starting December 29, 2024, updated Terms of Service will take effect, and all users are encouraged to review the new policies. If you are flagged as being located in the EU but are not, you can update your account details. For further details on how these changes might affect your usage, refer to the sections below.


When will these changes occur?

December 29, 2024: Updated Terms of Service go into effect.


Newsletter Opt-In Notification

Starting December 28, 2024, users will be asked to confirm their permission to receive newsletters and marketing messages via a pop-up notification.

We recommend opting in to ensure you don’t miss:

  • Newsletters with key updates and announcements.

  • Feature releases that enhance your trading experience.

  • Notifications about sales and exclusive promotions.

  • Invitations to competitions and special events.

If you choose not to opt-in, you won’t receive these updates.

You can unsubscribe at any time by visiting the Settings page and adjusting your email preferences.

To enable or disable Marketing Notifications:

  1. Log in to your 3Commas account.

  2. Navigate to the Settings page.

  3. Locate the Marketing notifications section.

  4. Use the toggle to enable or disable Marketing Notifications.


I’m not in the EU! How do I update my details?

If your account has been incorrectly flagged as being located in the EU, update your details:

  1. Logging in to your account.

  2. Navigating to the Subscriptions section, Billing details tab.

  3. Update your Residence information.


Will my ongoing trades or bots be affected?

Trades and bots for EU users will remain operational unless otherwise restricted under MiCA regulations. If you experience issues, contact our Support Team for assistance.


How can I delete my 3Commas account?

Important notes:

  • If you have created an account using a mobile app, then you can delete the account only from the app.

  • If you signed up using Google, Binance, Facebook or Apple ID, you need to contact support to request the account be deleted (write an email to [email protected] from the address that is registered in 3Commas or open a ticket)

If you have signed up using your email and password and you’d like to delete your regular account and all personal data, please follow the instructions below:

  • Please ensure that any Bots or SmartTrades have been closed and that you have no open/active trades/positions on the 3Commas software;

  • Log in to your exchanges and delete any API keys created for 3Commas;

  • After the above, visit https://app.3commas.io/users/profile and click the Delete my account button at the very bottom of the page:

  • Enter the password;

  • Confirm the deletion by email.

Your account will be marked for deletion in 7 days’ time. After the 7-day period, your account and any related data will be deleted from our servers.

ℹ️ As part of the Account Deletion process, you will automatically be emailed a link to download a copy of the Personal Data held by 3Commas for your user account.
