Portfolio Margin Accounts Not Supported ❌

If your Bybit account is set to Portfolio Margin mode, it cannot be connected to 3Commas.
To use 3Commas, you must disable Portfolio Margin in your Bybit account settings.
Integration with 3Commas
3Commas fully supports Bybit’s Unified Trading Account (UTA) system, including Spot, USDT Perpetual, and Inverse Perpetual trading. However, users should keep the following in mind:
Balance Display Differences: Account balances appear correctly in 3Commas, but collateral assets held in different currencies may not be reflected in trading forms for Inverse Perpetual accounts using Cross margin.
For example, if a user holds USDT as collateral but wants to trade BTCUSD (Inverse Perpetual) using BTC, 3Commas may show an insufficient funds error.
Margin Mode Switching: Users can switch between Cross and Isolated Margin only on the Bybit exchange. 3Commas does not support margin mode switching.
API Key Requirements: After upgrading to UTA, users must generate new API keys with UTA permissions and reconnect their Bybit account in 3Commas.
Why Does Bybit Display Different Balances?
Bybit categorizes balances differently depending on the account type:
Spot: Displays all assets at their current market rate, excluding bought contracts.
USDT Perpetual: Shows all quote currency holdings and bought contracts.
Inverse Perpetual: Displays only the quote currency available for trading (e.g., if a user holds BTC, USDT, and ICP, only BTC will be counted).
