DCA Bot: New Creation Form

Learn how to use the updated DCA Bot creation form, choose between AI Strategy, Manual, and Advanced modes, and review backtest results before starting a bot.

The updated DCA Bot form gives you several ways to create a bot. You can start from a ready-made AI Strategy, configure the main settings manually, or use Advanced mode for the full DCA Bot setup.

Who can access the new DCA Bot form?

The new DCA Bot form is available depending on when your account was created:

  • New users see the new DCA Bot form by default.

  • Existing users may still see the previous DCA Bot form by default.

  • Existing users can enable the new DCA Bot form from account settings, if the beta option is available for their account.

If you do not see the new DCA Bot form, check your account settings first.

Enable the new DCA Bot form

  • If your account was created before the new DCA Bot form was released, you may need to enable it manually.

  • To enable the new DCA Bot form:

Open the DCA Bot creation page

  • Go to the Bots section and select DCA Bot.

  • Choose how you want to create the bot. The updated DCA Bot form includes three creation modes:

    • AI Strategy

    • Manual

    • Advanced

Choose a DCA Bot creation mode

AI Strategy

  • Use AI Strategy if you want to start from a ready-made, pre-backtested DCA strategy.

  • AI Strategy mode shows strategy cards with key information, such as the trading pair, direction, exchange, performance metrics, minimum deposit, and a small performance chart.

  • This mode is useful if you want a faster setup and prefer to review existing strategy options before creating a bot.

Manual

  • Use Manual mode if you want to configure the most important DCA Bot settings yourself.

  • Manual mode keeps the form simpler and focuses on the main settings needed to create a bot, such as exchange, pair, direction, order sizes, price deviation, take profit, and averaging orders.

Advanced

  • Use Advanced mode if you need the full DCA Bot setup.

  • Advanced mode is useful for experienced users who want access to more detailed DCA Bot settings.

  • When you switch from Manual mode to Advanced mode, the settings you already configured are preserved.

Use AI Strategy mode

  • AI Strategy mode helps you create a DCA Bot from a pre-backtested strategy.

  • Each strategy card will show:

    • Trading pair

    • Direction, such as Long or Short

    • Exchange

    • Leverage details, for Futures strategies

    • ROI

    • APY

    • Minimum deposit

    • Small PnL chart

    • Max floating drawdown

    • Copy option

  • For multi-pair strategies, the card may also show the list of included pairs.

Create a bot from an AI Strategy

  1. Open the AI Strategy tab.

  2. Review the available strategy cards.

  3. Click a strategy card or click Copy.

  4. Review the launch form.

  5. Select a compatible connected exchange.

  6. Enter the investment size.

  7. Review the strategy details.

  8. Click Start bot.

Adjust an AI Strategy manually

  • If you want to edit the strategy before starting the bot, click Adjust manually.

  • This copies the strategy settings into Manual mode, where you can review and change the bot settings before launch.

Use Manual mode

  • Manual mode lets you configure the main DCA Bot settings yourself.

  • Manual mode is useful if you want control over the bot setup, but do not need all advanced settings.

Exchange

  • Select the exchange account where the bot will trade.

  • For Futures bots, make sure the selected exchange account supports the contract type and leverage settings you want to use.

Pair or pairs

  • Choose the trading pair or pairs for the bot.

  • Examples:

    • BTC/USDT

    • ETH/USDT

    • Multiple USDT pairs, if multi-pair setup is available

  • The selected pair determines which market the bot will monitor and trade.

Direction: Long or Short

  • Choose the bot direction.

  • Long means the bot buys first and aims to sell higher.

  • Short means the bot sells first and aims to buy back lower.

  • Short direction is available only where supported, such as on compatible Futures exchanges.

Leverage and leverage type

  • For Futures bots, select the leverage settings.

  • This can include:

    • leverage type

    • leverage value

  • Using leverage can increase both potential profit and potential loss. Review your risk carefully before starting a Futures bot.

Price deviation

  • Price deviation defines how far the price should move before the bot places an averaging order.

  • Averaging orders help the bot average the entry price if the market moves against the initial order.

  • Example:

    • If price deviation is set to 2%, the bot places an averaging order after the price moves 2% from the previous order level, depending on the bot direction and settings.

Take profit

  • Take profit defines the profit target for the bot.

  • When the take profit condition is reached, the bot can close the trade according to the selected settings.

Base order size

  • Base order size is the amount used for the first order of the bot.

  • This is the initial position the bot opens before any averaging orders are placed.

Averaging order size

  • Averaging order size is the amount used for each averaging order.

  • These orders are placed when the price moves according to the configured price deviation and other related settings.

Averaging orders

  • Averaging orders define how many averaging orders the bot can place in one trade.

  • More averaging orders can allow the bot to average the entry price across a wider price movement, but they also require more funds.

Fill with AI

  • Fill with AI can help fill the Manual form with preset strategy settings.

  • The available presets depend on the selected exchange, pair, and available strategy data.

  • If there are not enough suitable strategies for the selected exchange and pair, Fill with AI may be unavailable.

  • Always review the filled settings before starting the bot.

Use Advanced mode

  • Advanced mode gives access to the full DCA Bot configuration.

  • Use Advanced mode if:

    • you are familiar with DCA Bot settings

    • you need more detailed configuration options

    • you want to use settings that are not shown in Manual mode

  • If you already configured settings in Manual mode, switching to Advanced mode keeps the settings you entered.

Review backtest results

  • The updated DCA Bot form includes an inline backtest section. This means backtest results are shown directly on the DCA Bot page.

  • The backtest section includes:

    • chart

    • backtest markers

    • result metrics

    • performance chart

    • list of trades

    • order list

    • investment chart

  • Backtest results are based on historical market data. They do not guarantee future performance.

Backtests in AI Strategy mode

  • In AI Strategy mode, the selected strategy already has backtest results.

  • You can review the backtest results for the selected strategy, but the backtest controls are not editable in AI Strategy mode.

  • To run your own backtest, switch to Manual or Advanced mode.

Run a backtest in Manual or Advanced mode

  • To run a backtest:

    1. Open Manual or Advanced mode.

    2. Configure the bot settings.

    3. Click Proceed backtest.

    4. Wait for the backtest to finish.

    5. Review the results under the chart.

  • If you change the bot settings after running a backtest, run the backtest again to refresh the results.

Show or hide backtest markers

  • When backtest results are available, you can show or hide backtest markers on the chart.

  • Use Show Backtest to display backtest markers.

  • Use Hide Backtest to hide the markers and return to the current configuration view.

  • The control may be unavailable if there is no backtest result yet.

Review bot orders and investment chart

The updated DCA Bot form may include tabs below the chart.

Backtest

The Backtest tab shows the main backtest result, including performance and result metrics.

Order list

  • The Order list tab shows the bot order structure.

  • Use this tab to review how the bot orders are planned.

Investment chart

  • The Investment chart shows how averaging orders may use funds.

  • Use this tab to understand how much the bot may need if more averaging orders are placed.

Before starting the bot

Before you start the bot, check:

  • the selected exchange account

  • the selected pair or pairs

  • the bot direction

  • leverage settings, if using Futures

  • base order size

  • averaging order size

  • number of averaging orders

  • take profit settings

  • maximum amount the bot can use

  • backtest results, if you ran a backtest

  • For Futures bots, review leverage carefully. Leverage increases risk and can lead to larger losses.
